About this campaign
Local. Independent. Common sense.
Make Balmain Fun Again!
On Saturday 4 December we get an opportunity to elect three local Councillors to represent the Balmain-Baludarri ward on the Inner West Council for the next four years.
I think our community leadership needs a new face, a new voice - and especially new ideas. I'd love a chance to provide at least some of them.
Why I'm standing
I'm naturally upbeat and optimistic and like everyone I'm excited to be out of lockdown and heading into a truly epic future. I'm especially glad for my teenage son. Our kids have done it a bit tougher over Covid than we might recognise. We can all remember how two years as a kid can seem like your whole life...and that's even without being kept from your friends, extended family and favorite activities.
I think we have an obligation to work hard to ensure them a future brimming with hope, happiness and fun. I'd love a chance to help springboard us all in that direction, as part of a three-Councillor team that is unified, energetic and fired up to work together positively and constructively.
No more negativity, no more in-fighting, no more backwards-looking doom and gloom! Let's totally smash our post-Covid rejuvenation, with unity, focus, bold ambition for the Balmain peninsula...and a sense of hope, joy and fun. My appetite for life is as boundless as my enthusiasm, and if you elect me, I'll work hard to be as infectious as I can.
In a GOOD way! Cheers.
Why I'm not distributing preferences
I'm not distributing preferences and this video explains why.
Why I love Balmain
As for this one, it's a bit of lock-down fun, which just happens to describe the way I feel about our Balmain peninsula communities better than words alone ever could.
Apologies for the singing!
